SLACO Virtual Trivia 2021

On Saturday, January 9th 2021, the St. Louis Association of Community Organizations (SLACO) will hold an online virtual trivia.  This is a great opportunity to get together with friends and family without having to leave home.

A virtual table of ten is available for $250 and SLACO is a non-profit so your cost to play is tax deductible.

Both Lindenwood Park and North Hampton Neighborhood Associations are members of SLACO.  Please consider having a table or providing items for auction.  Attached is a slide deck with more information and you may also go to www.slaco-mo.org.

National Night Out 2018

National Night Out is Tuesday October 2ND!

What is National Night Out?
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.

In other words, it’s a night to get together with your neighbors and take a stand for your neighborhood. A stand against crime, a stand for your community. It’s a block party with a cause!

Join up with the block party closest to you!
Or, come join the 5000 Block of Parker at Brannon. They will be out from 6p-10p. All are welcome!

2017 Holiday Event at Family Forward (FRC)

KHNA is super excited to again have their Holiday event at Family Forward (they used to be called the Family Resource Center). Our event will be Thursday December 14th at 6pm, at the FF building located at Fyler & Kingshighway. We’ll wrap gifts for the kids, help decorate their facility, and have some light snacks.

What can you bring to donate to the cause?
Feel free to bring a NEW gift that can be wrapped and given to the kids they support – but don’t feel obligated. They already have tons of gifts, and what they need most from us is the wrapping. If you do want to bring a gift they especially need books for teens, or baby board books, since they run out of those first. Stuffed animals are great too. They also need wrapping paper and gift wrapping supplies. They go through a lot of it!

Want to know more about Family Forward?
Their mission is to give kids a chance at a better life by preventing and treating all forms of child abuse and neglect by strengthening families through family-centered therapeutic, educational, and support services. Visit their website for more info.

National Night Out 2016

National Night Out is Tuesday August 2nd.

How Can I Participate?
Throw a NNO party on your block! You can register here with the City. There is no fee; the registration is really so the city knows which streets to close off.

Or, attend a NNO block party! Attend the one on your block, or a nearby block.

Are there other blocks already participating?
Yes, as usual the 5000 Block of Parker is leading the way when it comes to NNO. They will be celebrating from 6p-10p. Check out their flyer for more info. All are welcome!

KH Fest!

IMG_20130518_193633

THANK YOU to all of the volunteers (you know who you are) who helped put on our first annual KH Fest this past weekend; we quite literally couldn’t have done it without you. And thank you to the neighbors that saw our signs and decided to come out, and to Alderman Vollmer and Collector Daly for stopping by as well. We had BBQ, music, a magician, games, and two raffles. It was a great time.

Now it’s time for our annual break… no meetings over the summer. See you all in September!
